Hey, I’m Bo Bland, born and raised in Annapolis, Maryland. Growing up, I spent my time crabbing, fishing, and hanging out in Ocean City during the summers. And of course, I couldn’t miss the Maryland Renaissance Festival every fall. I went to Summit Middle School and Spalding High, so my roots around the Chesapeake Bay run deep.
Fit Focused Ready came from a simple realization: too many people were struggling where I found success. As a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, RRCA Certified Running Coach, ultra-runner, and Ironman Triathlete, I’ve seen every side of fitness. But let’s be clear, I didn’t start that way. My life was far from healthy. I smoked too much, ate junk food like it was going out of style, and binge drank my weekends away. Then one night, drunk at a bar, I took a bet to do a sprint triathlon. That race flipped my world upside down, and I haven’t looked back since.
The road wasn’t easy—it was brutal. Setbacks, doubts, moments when giving up felt like the best option. But through that process, I learned one thing: real transformation starts in the mind. It’s not just about lifting weights or hitting cardio. It’s about shutting down the urge to quit, resisting that junk food, and pushing through the doubt. The mental game is the real game-changer. Once I tackled those mental blocks, I started accomplishing things I never thought possible.
